Ardington & Lockinge overcame Marcham 2-0 to lift the North Berks Charity Shield for the first time since 1928.
Fielding a weakened team due to injuries and other commitments, Ardington controlled the game to such an extent that Marcham did not have a worthwhile shot on target.
Outstanding at the back were 16-year-old Adam Learoyd and Rob Winfield.
It was Winfield who stooped low to head in a free-kick at the far post in the 43rd minute to break the deadlock.
Much of Marcham's best work came through Will Westall and he put over some good crosses, but nobody was able to take advantage.
His brother Luke took the ball around two players on the edge of the box but miscued his shot.
The second Ardington goal came midway through the second half from a short corner.
Joe Harvey hammered a 20-yard shot which Marcham keeper Gary Harris could only parry and captain Alan Haines gleefully lashed home the rebound.
In league action, Grove Rangers rounded off their first season back in Division 1 with a convincing 3-1 win at Saxton Rovers.
Kevin Pryde, Ben Eltham and an Ian Gordon cracker accounted for Grove's tally.
Jim Oliver hit a treble to give AFC Benson a 3-2 win over Kintbury Rangers Reserves in Division 2, with Lucas Masopust and Alex Hendron replying.
In what has been a difficult season for Benson, with the sad loss of Tony Blizard, they have put together a fine run of results, not only to avoid relegation but also to claim third place.
In midweek, Division 3 champions AFC Wallingford A won 9-1 at East Hendred Reserves to complete a remarkable 100 per cent record of 30 wins in league and cup this season, scoring 135 goals in the process.
In Division 4, Blewbury Reserves hammered Buckland Reserves 8-0, with goals from Ben Sutton (3), Lee Hedges (2), Danny Knapp, John Hedges and Ben Jefferies.
This completed a run of six successive wins to overhaul Marcham and Drayton Reserves to claim the runners-up place, to go alongside their victory in the League Cup.
AFC Benson Reserves won 3-1 against Hanney United Reserves in Division 5, with two goals from player-manager Lee Matthews and one from Ryan Stuart.
