A man has been arrested after six separate gun attacks on lambs at two Oxfordshire farms.
In the latest incidents, a gunman struck twice at Manor Farm, in Horton-cum-Studley, at night-time on May 7 and May 9, bringing the number of animals killed or injured to almost 100.
A 53-year-old man has been arrested and bailed by police pending further inquiries.
Farmer Colin Badger said he did not have any further information about the arrest, but he believed it took place on May 9.
He said: "The police tell me they are doing everything they can. I want it to stop -- I want the person caught."
He said he had moved the animals to where he thought they would be safe, but the latest attacks showed that they were not.
Police have stepped up patrols in the area and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Det Insp Phil Murphy said: "We are patrolling the area during the night and have stepped up our high visibility patrols. There is a dedicated team of officers working on this series of incidents -- led by myself.
He added: "The offender may have parked a vehicle in the lay-by near the gate of a field where some sheep are kept. I'm urging anyone that may have seen a vehicle parked there in the past few nights or anything suspicious to contact me."
Meanwhile the RSPCA has offered a £1,000 reward for information leading to the killer's capture.
Anyone with information should call Pc Richie Iwanoff or Det Insp Murphy on 0845 8 505 505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
