Morrells of Oxford Sunday League: Cold Arbour again reigned supreme over Highfield as they came from behind to record a 2-1 victory in the President's Cup final at Roman Way - and claim a notable double.
The previous week Cold Arbour had defeated Highfield 3-1 to lift the League Cup.
In the President's Cup final, Highfield took the lead through Gordon Bedford.
Only some excellent goalkeeping from Arbour's Huw Evans and a goalline clearance from Amin Jamil prevented the score being more than 1-0 at half time.
However, Arbour raised their game in the second half and levelled on the hour.
With the game heading for extra time, Highfield failed to clear from a corner allowing Carl Bloomfield to fire through a packed defence and snatch the trophy.
In mid-week, a thrilling encounter between the same two sides saw Highfield virtually confirm the Premier Division title when they came back from 1-0 down to earn a valuable point
Arbour pressed hard and could have been 4-0 up in the first half but had to settle for a late strike from Paul Bough to lead 1-0 at half time.
In the second half, Arbour were reduced to ten men when Tobi Webster was sent off for a second bookable offence
Arbour looked almost home until Wayne Blossom won a penalty that was converted to leave honours even. Highfield lead on goal difference with two games to play whie, Arbour only have the one game left.
Although the league have been forced to award games where clubs have failed to fulfil fixtures and there are still a few outstanding games.
However most issues have been settled. Nelson are Division 1 champions, Oxford Supporters cannot be caught at the top of Division 2 and Berinsfield are clear winners of Division 3.
