Jean Marc Goiran, the man who set up the deal to bring Ramon Diaz and the Argentine coaching staff to Oxford United, has been talking with U's fans on the Internet.

Goiran has been chatting to some U's fans about the club on the thisisunited forum.

However, he has sensibly been quite guarded about revealing too much about the behind-the-scenes talks with chairman Firoz Kassam.

The Oxford Mail contacted Goiran last night to check if it was actually him, or another forum user using an alias - but he confirmed that it was him.

"I just want to make sure that the fans know how grateful both myself, Ramon and the whole team were at their support while we were at Oxford."

Forum users have asked Goiran to go into detail about the talks that took place with Kassam, but he did not want to be drawn.

However, he did say: "To invest in Oxford, if it should be possible, was a great opportunity regarding the potential for this club.

"But we asked the question one time at the chairman, his answer was no, and I understand it.

"I promise you that when the passion will be more down, I will tell you the total story.

"Now give this message to all the fans who love United. Give a chance to M Talbot and go to support your team because it is the most important thing.

"In football, all is passion, but you must keep it for the players who have the yellow shirt on them.

"Thank you for your incredible support and see you for sure one day in Oxford."
