Oxford United manager Brian Talbot has made his backroom team his first priority this week, and been very impressed by what he's found.
The U's new boss says that he will keep the same personel behind the scenes, and is pleased with the work they are doing.
"You need to build a decent team off the pitch first of all, and everyone here has been first class since the moment I walked in the door," he told United's website.
"I have no intentions of bringing any new faces in in that department at the moment
"David Oldfield has been working closely with me and will be my assistant.
"He'll look after the reserves side, and has been very helpful in telling me about the players here already.
"He'll work alongside Darren Patterson, who is the youth team coach and is doing an excellent job.
"Darren sat and talked with me about the 13 players who have joined us this summer and will be scholars next season, and I know he's looking forward to working with them.
"There are three scholars we need to make a decision on - Paul Burton, Tom Winters and Bradie Clarke - and Darren and Les Taylor have said they'd like to keep them, so we will sit down with them and see if they want to be part of what we are building here."
Talbot says that although he has had an offer from another club, sports therapist Neil Sullivan will also stay at the club.
"I've also sat down with Neil Sullivan our physio here," he added.
"I spoke to people within the game before I got here, and they told me what a good job he does.
"I need my players back on the pitch as soon as possible if they get injured, and I have great faith in Neil.
"I know there was another club interested, but Neil has said that he wants to be here and that is great.
"People told me what a good bunch of people there were here, including Les Taylor and right down to Ken the kit man and Shirley who does the laundry.
"The way they have welcomed me and the positive way they approach things has been exactly what I want."
