At last we're getting tough with the hoodlums causing havoc at Wood Farm in Oxford - and not before time.
They have had the run of the estate for far too long.
All the many law-abiding folk there want to do is to go to the shops without fear of intimidation, have a good night's sleep and live in peace and harmony.
For a long while, they have been unable to do any of these things because of the yob culture on the estate.
Now it looks as if the authorities are determined to regain control.
One serial troublemaker, Paul Coombes, has been evicted from his flat in Foresters Tower, given a temporary Asbo and banned from the estate.
He has made his neighbours' lives hell by playing loud music and drunkenly shouting, swearing and running around naked at all hours.
He can have no complaints. He has had plenty of warnings.
Coombes tells us that he has only five years to live, and that if he has to sleep in the street, he will die of pneumonia.
In another heart-crunching statement, he says that "his whole life has gone".
Should we have any sympathy for him? Absolutely not. He has brought everything on himself.
No wonder his neighbours are glad to see the back of him.
Meanwhile, let this be a warning to others who bring mayhem to Wood Farm and other Oxford estates.
The crackdown has begun.
