There will be a new name in the Hellenic League next season after Oxford City agreed a partnership with Division 1 West side Quarry Nomads.
Under the arrangement, Quarry Nomads will be known as Oxford Quarry Nomads and will play their home games at Court Place Farm next season. They will wear blue and white hooped shirts.
The club will also be running a second team, Oxford Quarry Nomads A, who will compete in one of the reserve divisions. They will continue to wear Quarry's black and white kit and will play in Headington.
A City statement said the idea would have been jeopardised had the side, who were relegated from Southern League Division 1 West, been placed in the Hellenic League.
City are likely to be playing in Spartan South Midland League next season, though that has yet to be ratified.
