The Prince of Wales will be giving his royal approval to a charity concert in Bampton next weekend during a rare visit to the county.
Prince Charles, pictured left with the Duchess of Cornwall, is patron of Music in Country Churches, which organised the event at the Church of St Mary the Virgin on Saturday (May28).
The Rev David Lloyd, the vicar of Bampton, said: "It will be good to welcome Prince Charles to Bampton.
"I have never met him in the flesh, so I am very much looking forward to meeting him."
Music in Country Churches holds concerts to raise funds for that churches that host the events.
Mr Lloyd said proceeds would contribute towards repairing the church roof.
Catherine Fulljames, chairman of Oxfordshire County Council, will also be at the concert, which starts at 7.30pm.
It is not known whether the Prince's wife will accompany him to the event.
Prince Charles was last in the county in February when he spent almost 40 minutes visiting the new £65m Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, in Marston Road. He donned a hard hat for a guided tour of the 3.25-acre construction site, stopping on the way to speak to tradesmen working on the project.
Prince Charles, who is patron of the centre, told workers he was "extremely impressed" with the progress of the building since foundations were laid in January 2003.
