A South African was stabbed in a Bicester street during a confrontation caused by a comment about "foreigners".
Gary Coffee and Paul Carter, both 20 and from Banbury, are accused of wounding Daniel Vanderwatt on October 23 last year.
The prosecution claims Carter passed a metal-handled lock knife to Coffee, who used it to stab Mr Vanderwatt in the arm and face. Both men deny the joint charge.
Oxford Crown Court heard there was an exchange of words between Mr Vanderwatt -- who was speaking Afrikaans with two friends from South Africa -- which led to a fight. Mr Vanderwatt said: "He stabbed me. At the time I didn't feel anything, just afterwards I had blood on my hands."
The trial continues.
