Karl Bushell was back to his best form as he stormed to victory in the Oxford & District Invitation tournament at The Forum, Kidlington, with victory over Andrew Flint.
After beating Glen Freeman 11-4, 11-8, 11-4, in the semi-finals, he went on to beat Flint 6-11, 8-11, 11-4, 11-3, 11-4 in the final.
Bushell looked to be in trouble in the first two sets of the final, finding Flint's loop a real problem, but found the answer in the third by stepping up his attacks.
In the semi-finals, Flint had a comfortable 11-7, 11-9, 11-6 victory over last year's winner Mark Newns.
Bushell also picked up the veterans' title by beating Andy Misseldine 11-8, 13-11and 11-8.
Dawn Pearce was the top lady after beating last year's winner Janet Brown in the final.
In the mixed doubles, Flint and Janet Brown beat Andy Misseldine and Laura Gubbins 11-5, 11-6, 7-11, 11-5 in the semi-finals, but then lost 11-9, 3-11, 9-11, 9-11 to Mark Newns and Dawn Pearce.
Andrew Flint and Andy Misseldine paired up to take the mens doubles title, beating Karl Bushell and Glen Freeman 11-4, 11-5, 11-7.
It was followed by a presentation evening.
Along with all the trophies for division winners and runners-up, there was the presentation of the Warner Cup for the most wins in Division 1.
Janet Brown of Begbroke won the Eric Minns Trophy for Division 2. John Cripps of Haddenham picked up the Ted Arnold Shield for most wins in Division 3.
Holton's Brian Dobson took the Derek Sawyer Shield for most wins in Division 4 and Bob Ford again had most wins in Division 5.
George May of Forum had most wins in the Develop- ment League.
Jordan Lee of Kidlington Forum won the Ken Ford Trophy for the Best Junior Newcomer to league play.
The Hawkins & McKechnie trophies for juniors were awarded to Laurel Christer of Forum and Nick Lacey from Bicester.
Sam Harrison of Forum picked up the Dave Hawkins Trophy for best performance by a Junior this year.
Chris Alder received the Alan Hopwood Trophy for all his work for the Committee, and Mike Aistrop received the Sid Belcher Trophy for setting up the web site odtta.org.uk
