A 44-year-old woman from Bicester has died after an Aston Martin DB7 sports car in which she was a passenger collided with a 40-tonne lorry at an accident blackspot on the B4070 Birdlip road in the Cotswolds.
The lorry then rolled on top of the car, Gloucestershire police said.
The woman has not been named. The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the accident, on the evening of May 25.
The 38-year-old lorry driver, a French national, was not injured.
Gloucestershire police spokesman Matt Ford said the accident closed the road for more than five hours as officers carried out a full investigation and examination of the scene.
The crash happened on a single carriageway stretch of the A417 which has seen dozens of accidents over the last few years.
