Oxford UCCE did well to restrict Lancashire to a lead of 120 on the second day of the three-day match in The Parks yesterday.
The county, 27 without loss overnight in reply to Oxford's 300-9 dec, were dismissed for 420, and the students, left to bat for an hour, were 24-0 in their second innings.
Lancashire relied heavily on Paul Horton (84) and Andy Crook (88) against a depleted attack. The pick of the bowlers was Ed Morse, with his 4-78 including the wicket of Iain Sutcliffe, an old Blue, with his fourth ball in first-class cricket.
