A 14-home development in Thame Park Road, Thame, has been named Limmings Lane in memory of Sister Mary Limmings who worked at the town's community hospital between 1945 and 1973.
The nameplate was unveiled by her daughter Bride and retiring mayor David Dodds, who was her step grandson.
Sister Limmings died in the hospital, aged 103, in 2001. Mr Dodds' mother, the late Eva Dodds, also worked as a nurse at the hospital.
