I asked Tony Blair on Radio Oxford before the election for some outdoor facilities on Wood Farm sports field in Oxford.
He promised he would look into it, and that MP Andrew Smith would be informed.
Labour councillor Sue Brown promised in the Oxford Mail that she was going to do something about it.
Don't go back on your words. We, the residents of Wood Farm, want some straight talking and action. It is time to get this sports field in order.
We want them to spend lots of money. I say lots because that is what it will need to be in line with sports fields on Oxford's other estates.
Government and Lottery funding has been allocated elsewhere.
Oxford City Council has been stating for years -- there is no money left for Wood Farm.
Youth worker Dianne Young said (Oxford Mail, May 21): "We know that there is an awful lot more that needs to be done -- if we had the resources."
Independent Working Class Association councillor Claire Kent said: "There is provision for youth in Churchill ward, but Wood Farm has been missed out."
Oxfordshire County Council has agreed to try to seek funding from the city council, so even it is saying it has no money for funding.
Can someone please tell me where all the money has gone that Wood Farm residents have paid to the councils?
Perhaps they have buried it under Cornmarket Street in our beautiful city of Oxford. Peter Bonney, Nuffield Road, Wood Farm, Oxford
