MARCHAM'S Beth Simmons completed a sensational hat-trick of titles at the National Deaf Tennis Championships in Gloucestershire.
The 18-year-old, who has been struggling with injury after a ski-ing accident, showed great spirit to battle back from a set down to beat Sharon Templeman (Wrexham) in a three-set singles final.
Simmons got off to a flying start, racing into a 4-0 lead.
But the balance of power then changed as Templeman reeled off the next six games to take the opening set 6-4.
With both players looking nervous in the second set, last year's runner-up Simmons battled her way to a 5-1 lead, and closed out the set 6-3 to level the match.
An increasing number of doubles faults did not help Templeman's cause in the deciding set, and Simmons went 5-1 ahead.
Despite losing her service game, she closed out the set 6-2 to secure her first national singles title.
Simmons then joined up with men's singles runner-up Lewis Fletcher (Farnham) to claim the mixed crown.
The duo ran out 6-3, 6-3 winners over Sally Clark (Burnham-on-Sea) and Peter Willcox (Tiverton).
And her remarkable hat-trick was completed when she partnered sister Alex to victory in the ladies' doubles.
The Simmons sisters were forced to come from a set behind before getting the better of Templeman and Clark, and eventually ran out 6-7, 6-2, 6-3 winners.
