TABLE-TOPPERS Banbury cemented their flying start to the CCS Home Counties Premier League season, with a 79-run win over Slough.

But skipper Richard Kaufman says they cannot be complacent at North Mymms tomorrow if they are to keep their lofty perch.

"We are playing good cricket at the minute, but this is a game that we have to win if we are to stay at the top of the league," he said.

"If you can compete with the top teams like Reading, Henley and Slough, you have to make sure you don't slip up against probably one of the weaker teams in the league.

"We've got six good bowlers, so hopefully we can restrict them to 200."

Opening batsman Mark Rorich, who missed the Slough game due to a back injury, replaces Andrew Sabin tomorrow.

Kaufman hopes he stays fit for Sunday as well when Banbury host Knowle and Dorridge in the Cockspur Cup.

Banbury were in control when the match was rained off two weeks ago and are hoping for better luck this time.

Pat Jobson remains upbeat about Oxford's chances in the league despite his side suffering their first defeat of the campaign.

The Oxford captain says confidence is still high ahead of tomorrow's trip to Finchampstead and will not be affected by the home loss to Henley.

Jobson maintained the teams were evenly matched at Roman Way on Saturday, and it was only Henley batsman Mark Bredell's magnificent 135 that proved the difference.

He said: "As a team we are playing well, I'm not upset.

"Sometimes one guy has a great game and you've just got to give him credit.

"Aside from that we were very much in the game.

"I think we are playing as a team and playing well."

Jobson added: "It will be nice to play at Finchampstead because it is a good pitch and it would be nice to get an away victory."

Tom Fox for Ian Evans is the only change for Oxford.
