Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell entertained students with a talk on June 1 about her career at the Oxford Union.
As the biggest selling girl group of all time, the Spice Girls sold more than 50 million albums and 30 million singles. Following her departure in 1998, Geri has notched up four solo number ones.
Peter Cardwell, a Union spokesman, said: "It was definitely one of the most popular events this term.
"Geri was great -- she signed loads of autographs and even gave me a birthday kiss."
On June 2, leading fertility expert and TV presenter Sir Robert Winston took part in a musical extravaganza at Oxford's Sheldonian Theatre to raise money for the Oxford Children's Hospital Campaign.
