A man is no longer in a critical condition in a hospital following an attempted murder in Blackbird Leys, Oxford.
The 26-year-old, who has not been named, has been in Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital since the attack on May 31.
He was able to talk on June 2 to detectives about the attack.
Children were playing in Warburg Crescent, Blackbird Leys, when the 26-year-old victim staggered along the street and collapsed after the attack at about 8pm.
Neighbours rushed to the aid of the man, who lives on the estate. He had been stabbed in the head and neck.
Police arrested a 17-year-old youth yesterday morning. He was being questioned by detectives last night.
