Speedway fans bowed their heads last night in memory of the four victims of May 28's crash on the eastern bypass.
And at the scene of the tragedy flowers and tributes continued to be laid by friends and people in the community whose hearts have been touched by the loss of life.
The silent remembrance came ahead of last night's match between Oxford Silver Machine and Wolverhampton Wolves.
A spokesman for the Silver Machine, based at Oxford Stadium, in Cowley, said: "The minute's silence was led by Hedley Feast, who was appointed as our chaplain three weeks ago.
"The tribute was suggested by our promoter, Nigel Wagstaff, because of the close local ties with football and the families of the children."
This weekend churches in the city will be remembering the victims of the crash.
Parishioners at Holy Family Church, in Blackbird Leys, will be offering prayers to the family at their service on Sunday and youth pastor Sarah Goddard will hold a special service at St Aldate's Church, also on Sunday, to pray for the families and children involved in the crash.
