Scottish pop band Texas are the first group to confirm they will play at Oxford's Party in the Park this summer.
Lead singer Sharleen Spiteri, guitarist, Ally McErlaine, bass player Johnny McElhone, keyboard player Eddie Campbell and drummer Mykie Wilson will take to the stage in South Park on August 28 for the event.
Organised by city radio station Fox FM and 02 Music, Party in the Park has been billed as Oxfordshire's biggest music event this summer.
Work on the stage will start five days before and Fox FM is set to bring in thousands of pounds worth of video screens to make sure everyone in the park gets a great view.
FOX FM programme controller Samantha Walker said: "We are delighted that Texas have confirmed.
"I'm confident that this year's Party in the Park is going to be one of the best ever and I can't wait."
Texas are the first band to confirm they will be playing Party in the Park, which will take place between noon and 4pm.
Texas, who formed in 1986, have had 19 top 40 hits and three number one albums.

Since then they have released the albums Mother's Heaven, Ricks Road, White on Blonde, The Hush and Careful What You Wish For as well as a greatest hits compilation.
They have been away for a couple of years but are making a comeback with a new album and the single Carnival Girl.
