An Oxford city councillor described as a 'community stalwart' has died following a long struggle with a brain tumour.
Northfield Brook councillor Molly Florey, pictured, died on Sunday at the Michael Sobell House hospice almost two months after having an operation to remove a brain tumour. She was 72.
Mrs Florey had served on Blackbird Leys Parish Council since it was formed in 1990 and was elected to the city council in 2001.
A minute's silence was held at the city council's southern area committee last night.
