In response to your article, Traffic scheme is dangerous (Oxford Mail, June 1), I, too, have been disrupted by the temporary inconvenience in Cowley Road, Oxford.
I attended the 'Cowley Road Matters' shop and feel that everyone had the opportunity to discuss and express concerns with those working hard to improve our environment.
While I sympathise with small businesses, we must be patient. As a cyclist and pedestrian, I am sick of locking my bike insecurely, tripping over advertising boards and cycles and facing danger on zebra crossings.
Fighting my way to the shops has been an arduous affair. Cowley Road was never very safe and I am looking forward, as much as anyone else, in experiencing a safer, more productive environment.
