The incident follows a series of fatal road accidents involving young people in the county in the past few weeks.

Four young people died in the crash on Oxford's Eastern Bypass on May 28.

Jacob Kaye, 13, died in a tractor accident on the same day on farmland in Radcot, off the A4095 in west Oxfordshire.

A week earlier, Sarah Ertl, 15, from Somerton, near Bicester, and Gemma Blackman, a student at Carterton Community College, also 15, died when the car in which they were passengers left the road and hit a tree on the B4030.

Miss Blackman survived the crash but died six days later.
