TEN-year-old Sadie Mansell could be destined for the top, after she was snapped up by Arsenal Ladies' academy.
The talented youngster had a superb season with Witney Viking Boys under the coaching of Roger Alder and Nick Hagis, and she picked up the player of the year trophy for the under 10s.
Sadie, who attends Madley Brooke School in Witney, plays in the heart of midfield, and had three trials with Oxford United's school of excellence, and having been successful, joined up.
The coaching no doubt stood her in good stead, as she subsequently had three trials for Arsenal at St Albans in Hertfordshire.
She so impressed the coaches, that she signed on the dotted line.
Sadie's father, Paul, said: "I have played and managed senior football teams all my life.
"But I found it difficult to accept my daughter playing what is regarded as a boy's game."
