Oxford City boss Andy Lyne has made his sixth signing of the summer after snapping up experienced defender Craig Dore from Brackley Town.
Dore, 31, who has worked with Lyne at Witney Town and Burnham, started his career as a trainee at Cardiff City, before moving to Worcester City.
He joins fellow new signings Lee Keyes, Sam Belcher, Adam Pilling and Shaun Kennedy at Court Place Farm.
Former City midfielder Nigel Emsden is also back at his old club.
"Along with Gary Murphy, Craig is probably the best right sided defender that this county has produced in the last decade.
"He has always been comfortable on the ball, but has greatly developed his all round game over the years. "Craig is is another piece in the jigsaw and he will bring us great quality and vital experience."
Meanwhile, Abingdon Town travel to Hungerford Town in the preliminary round of the Hellenic League Challenge Cup.
