A 29-year-old man was questioned by police after trouble at an Oxfordshire festival over the weekend.
The Charlbury Riverside Festival, which attracted thousands of music fans, was disrupted on Saturday night by a group of about 30 people who stole from a campsite and set fire to a tent.
One man was arrested on suspicion of assault, apparently after attacking two people.
Organiser and Charlbury resident Chris Wray said: "People in the town have every right to accuse us of noise pollution and all sorts.
"I would agree with them and apologise unreservedly. It's caused us a lot of heartache. It was a group of about 30 people who were real imbeciles.
"They hadn't come down to the festival, they were down for one thing, to consume as much alcohol as possible and cause as much trouble as they could."
Mr Wray said the festival's future may be jeopardised by the trouble, which was confined to the campsite.
