CCS Home Counties League Division 2 West: Thame Town's unbeaten season came to a grinding halt when they were soundly beaten at home by Farnham Royal on Saturday, losing top spot to Tring Park.
Missing bowler Luke Merry, Thame opened their attack with paceman Sam Lachlan and left-arm spinner Partik Mehta and both met with success as Farnham slipped to 42-3.
Skipper Warren Miller remained resolute, however, as Farnham went in to lunch on 122-4.
Miller continued to frustrate Thame after the break, reaching his century before running out of partners.
Chasing a modest 203, Thame felt confident of victory, but the swing of Krishmar Santokie reduced them to 19-3 which became 19-4 when Adam Krol was bowled by Agha Abbas Khan for four.
Two more wickets fell cheaply as Thame were reeling at 42-6 and although Chris Wynd hit a valiant 65, they were all out for 130 having received a resounding lesson.
