Patients at a Banbury GP surgery are boosting a fund to help young entertainers.

Fuchsias supplied by Adderbury seed company Ball Colegrave are being sold at the Horsefair Surgery to raise money for Sophie's Silver Lining Fund -- a charity set up in memory of Chacombe teenager Sophie Large who was killed in a car crash seven years ago.

Sophie's ambition was a life in the theatre and she was due to produce a play at the Edinburgh Festival in 1998.

But she died at the age of 19 in an accident near her home just a few months before the festival took place. Her parents Cherry and Stephen initially set up the fund to stage the play. It now helps aspiring young actors and musicians.
