Bicester's Dave Kuester won the bronze medal in the British Masters Weights Pentathlon Championships at Milton Keynes.
Competing in the 60-65 age group, Kuester finished up on 3,022 points.
He threw 28.18m in the hammer, 10.00m in the shot, 28.26m in the discus, 35.38m in the javelin and 11.49m in the heavy weight.
Kuester is now looking forward to the British Masters Track & Field Championships next month, followed by the world whampionships in San Sebastian, Spain at the end of August.
He is on the look-out for sponsorship to help with entry fees, kit, equipment and travel.
