Norman Green showed age is no barrier as the 78-year-old clanged off 13 dolls, including a sixer, in the Fairview's 3-0 victory over Section 4 rivals Golden Ball B.
Glyn Millard bagged a six in his dozen-doll haul.
It proved to be unlucky 13 for Black Swan's Jim Willoughby (4-6-3) as he rattled off a baker's dozen, only for his side to lose 2-1 against the Post Office in a scoreline of 14-16, 16-17, 11-10.
A 15-doll haul from Mick Berry (5-5-5) helped the White House to a 2-1 victory at the Plough in the Premier Section.
White House took the first leg 28-16, before the Plough took the second 32-27, with Adrian Shepherd scoring a six.
White House then set 30 in the final leg, which the Plough fell well short with 21. Alan Goodgame bagged 14 dolls.
Nigel Rolston (5-6-4) clanged off 15 dolls for the Fox, but it was in vain as they lost 2-1 to New Club, who prevailed in a scoreline of 20-27, 16-25, 23-21.
Mick Phipps was also in good form, as he bagged a six inthe Three Pigeons' narrow 2-1 win against Garsington Sports Club. The latter sneaked home 27-27, 28-25, 27-26.
Squire Bassett's Pete Dempsey (5-6-3) whipped off 14 dolls, only for his team to lose 3-0 to the George.
Dave Sawyer top-scored for George with 14 dolls.
In Section 2, Cowley Workers Eamon Hanlon had mixed fortunes as they beat Kings Arms 3-0.
After failing to trouble the doll in the first leg, he fought back with a sixer in his ten-doll tally.
In Section 5, Tiddington CC beat Bicester Town 3-0.
Tiddington cruised home 15-10, 17-13, 14-10, Ray Kitley and Alan King top-scoring with nine dolls.
Quarry Gate's anchorman Terry Cox came to the rescue in their clash at Team Monarch.
Chasing 19, Cox was left needing four to take the leg. After missing with his first two sticks, he duly whipped off the next four snatching the leg 20-19.
Monarch took the next 20-18 and in the final leg they set 14.
Needing four to win, Cox took the next five.
In Section 7, the Red Cow moved to the top as they beat Blacks Head Yankees 3-0. Roger Herbert (4-4-3) top-scored for Red Cow with 11 dolls.
Second-placed Star B lost 3-0 against Ashton Club.
Only one doll separated the New Club and Ampleforth Arms in Section 8.
Ampleforth took the first leg on a thrilling three-stick shoot-out after tying the leg 18-18.
New Club then levelled, taking the second 19-17.
Top-scorer Rodney Wilkins (5-4-5) then clanged off the necessary five dolls.
That left anchorman Andy Lewis to whip off the two dolls needed to take the match 18-17.
