You report that Wood Farm estate in Oxford is deprived (Oxford Mail, June 6).
That should read Northway Estate.
A lot of older people live at Northway. There is not a lot for them to do.
Come to think about it, there's not a lot for young people either.
We are limited for shops. We have no doctors' surgery -- there used to be one, but it moved to Woodstock Road.
Transport is laid on to the surgery, but if not, it is two buses to get there.
About eight weeks ago, I telephoned about a street light that was out, gave the location at the junction of Copse Lane, Westlands Drive and Ambleside Drive, and the lamp number. Nothing was done until this week.
Come on, councillors, get things moving.
We think Northway is a deprived estate, not Wood Farm. Bill Yates, Ambleside Drive, Headington, Oxford
