But considering how much it cost, I am not impressed.
The contractors could work only to the specification they were given, but what happened to the design team?
Other town centres have attractive paving layouts that invite pedestrians and shoppers and give an added 'fillip' to dull shop fronts.
For all the fuss and inconvenience over the last three to four years, it is as the Bard said: "Much Ado About Nothing".
Should Cornmarket Street be renamed? I think so.
The proof is there to be seen.
