I am an infrequent visitor to Banbury. Not that I have an aversion to the place, but living where I do makes journeys there inpractical.
However, a young relative took me for 'a ride around'. When you reach my age, they think it will do one good and cheer one up, although I assure you this is not necessary in my case. We ended up in Banbury.
It has become a delightful town with much attention paid to the traffic roundabouts and the many floral decorations around the streets and across bridges.
The Castle Quay centre, with its canal frontage, is a joy either for shopping or just wandering around, and it is possible to park centrally, albeit at a price, without too much trouble.
I am looking for my next visit. Young relative please note. Enid Carter, Oxford Road, Abingdon
