Youth will have the chance to shine for Oxfordshire on Sunday when Ian Hawtin's men take part in a four-county Twenty20 tournament.
Alex Jewell (Bicester & North Oxford) and Shipton-under-Wychwood's Dickon Morris, both 18, have been included in the squad to face Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and hosts Bucks at Burnham.
With Banbury's Chris Smith, 19, and Morris's Shipton teammate Stuart Hole, 20, also involved, captain Hawtin is looking for the youngsters to show what they can do.
He said: "There's a few people that are not available for one reason or another and it gives others the opportunity to come in.
"It also gives us the opportunity to look at them."
Jewell has been in fine form with the bat for Bicester this season and has certainly caught the eye of club colleague Hawtin.
"Alex played for the under 17s last year. He's scored a couple of hundreds and 70 odd.
"He's been batting really well so we thought he deserved a chance."
Off-spinner Morris is part of the Gloucestershire Acad- emy and featured for Oxon in their pre-season fixtures.
Smith is a promising opening batsman, who will be looking to force his way into the Minor Counties Championship side this summer.
Among the absentees is player-coach Jamie Hewitt, who has been allowed to play for his club side Whitstable against Sunbury in the Cockspur Cup.
Sunday's round robin tournament is the first such event of its kind.
Play gets under way at 10.15am, entry is £2, and Hawtin hopes the format will prove popular.
He said: "They are looking to try and get more people to come and watch.
"We have all played 20-over cricket in the Oxfordshire Cup, but this is a different format.
"I think it will be good fun. We've got some young lads in there, who will be able to keep running in the field."
Oxfordshire squad: Hawtin (Bicester & North Oxford, capt), Kaufman (Banbury), Phillips (Banbury), Cook (Oxford), Murrey (Banbury), Smith (Banbury) Jewell (Bicester & North Oxford), Morris (Shipton-under-Wychwood), Angove (Oxford), P Evans (Oxford), Mustow (Cheltenham), St Hole (Shipton-under-Wychwood).
