CCS Home Counties League Division 2 West: Bicester & North Oxford suffered their second defeat of the season on Saturday, losing by four wickets to Farnham Royal.

Asked to bat first on an unusually bowler-friendly wicket at Akeman Street, Bicester had no answer to the pace and swing of Krishmar Santokie, slumping to 36-5.

They recovered to post 120, as Ben Chapman and skipper Ian Bryan became the only players to reach double figures. Santokie finished withf 7-43 from 26 overs.

Opening with two spinners, Bicester failed to capitalise on early chances on and saw their victory hopes slip away.

Off-spinner Paul Jeacock was the pick of the bowlers with 4-50 from 17.2 overs.

Stowe schoolboy Rory Lyon claimed 2-47 from 16 overs on his debut, but Farnham got home with four wickets and 37.2 overs to spare.
