Oxford City have signed attacking midfielder Harry Burnley, who was with North Leigh last season.

Burnley, 26, had Southern League experience with both Witney Town and Cirencester Town, before spending the last four seasons at North Leigh, where he won two Hellenic Championship medals.

Andy Lyne, manager of Oxford City, who will play in the Spartan South Midland League this season, said: " Harry is a player that I have long admired. He is one of a rare breed, a goal-scoring wide man.

"He notched 15 times for North Leigh last season and he's averaged 20 a season over his four seasons there, that is a tremendous record.

" We have a good goal threat up top with Lee Keyes and Ray Spence, but Harry will give us that extra di- mension."

Other City signings in the close season include goalkeeper Carl Wilkins, Justin Merritt, Craig Dore, Adam Pilling, Nigel Emsden, Sam Belcher, Shaun Kennedy and Andy Marriott.
