Householders will definitely be able to throw all their recycling into one bin in a shake-up of Oxford’s waste collection rounds, city councillors have agreed.
At a Town Hall meeting, they awarded a contract to Community Waste Recycling Ltd to process the city’s recycling from October 1.
It means householders will no longer have to separate their recycling into blue and green boxes.
Instead, all recyclable material – including glass, paper, tins, plastic and cardboard – would be collected from a single blue wheelie bin, or blue box, emptied fortnightly.
