HUNDREDS of people have paid tributes to a member of Oxford United’s Football and Education Academy who was stabbed to death.
Godwin Nii Lawson, 17, died after he was attacked by at least four men at about 2am in Hackney, North London, on Saturday.
Two of his friends, aged 18 and 20, were also stabbed but their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Two groups on the social networking website Facebook had been set up in Godwin’s memory, with a total of more than 1,200 members.
Chad Moses posted: “Always been the Bigman, from kicking ball to bussin jokes all the memories will not be forgotten Rv.
“Just like you said ‘nothing lasts forever’ sad but true.”
Derek Benson posted: “I’ve been hearing your voice all day bruddah talking through the mic at studio.
You shouldn’t be gone. I’m gutted for you, and your family.”
No arrests have been made.
