Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted burglary in Northfield Avenue, Lower Shiplake.
At approximately 8.30pm on Saturday, burglars tried to break into the house via the rear kitchen door, damaging the door frame and cracking a window in the process. They also smashed a security light on the wall.
They did not manage to gain entry and nothing was stolen.
PC Matthew Napper said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the area at around 8.30pm.
“It is believed that the burglars left the scene driving a white or silver Ford Fiesta. This car was seen driving away at speed at around this time, and I’d like to speak to anyone who saw it.”
