A 25-year-old man was given a police caution after he was caught driving a car without the owner’s consent and without being insured to drive the vehicle.
Police were alerted to the car after CCTV operators in Witney spotted the vehicle travelling along the High Street with the boot open, shortly after 2am last Wednesday.
The man was arrested and given a caution for the offences at Witney police station.
Chief Insp Jack Malhi said: “This incident further highlights the benefits of the CCTV network in the town and the close working relationship between the CCTV operators and officers.”
