Police are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle was damaged on Hungerford Hill, Lambourn.
The vehicle was travelling along the road at about 11pm on Saturday when a stone was thrown at it from a wooded embankment on the east side of the road. This happened both on the way up the hill and on the way down.
Neighbourhood Sgt Andy Bone said: “These were not little stones they were large pieces of flint weighing about half a kilogram. The car received a damaged windscreen, a hole in the door and an extremely dented bonnet.
“I urge anyone with any information to contact police before someone is injured via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively if you do not wish to speak to police you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111”
