Magician and illusionist David Alexander starred in the Oxfringe festival to entertain families strolling through Oxford Castle.
The Chester-based entertainer, pictured, performed sketches as part of the performing arts festival, which is based on the Edinburgh Fringe festival and is now in its fourth year.
The festival, which features 220 performances at 30 venues, started on Wednesday and runs until Sunday, April 11.
Mr Alexander, 62, said: “I did some juggling, magic and illusion and the children loved it. They dragged their parents along.”
Heather Dunmore, co-director of the Oxfringe festival, said: “Mr Alexander was very popular. It takes a few days before people get the idea that there are lots of plays and outdoor events on but now they are starting to really enjoy it.”
Further outdoor performances will be staged in Bonn Square on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm.
