CHILDREN at Pegasus Primary School, in Blackbird Leys, proved they had the ‘S Factor’ at a special dance contest.
At Oxford's first inter-school salsa contest, 72 children from three schools took to the floor to show off their dance skills.
The children, aged eight to 10, and from Pegasus, Orchard Meadow School in Blackbird Leys and Rose Hill School, performed salsa, merengue and bachata, for a panel of expert judges comprised of salsa teachers from around the region before the team from Pegasus were declared winners.
George Martini, who has been teaching the children, said: “It was absolutely brilliant, it all went very smoothly.
“They all enjoyed themselves and were smiling and laughing, and when, at one point, they swapped partners and had to dance with children they had never met before, they went ahead with no problems.”
