TWO men have been ordered to pay back thousands of pounds they earned from importing drugs after 6.5kg of cocaine was found in a car boot.
Matthew King, 43, and Harry Lenton, 25, were caught after their drug-dealing “linchpin”, 53-year-old Martin Lonsdale, of Chapel Close, Clifton, near Deddington, was found with the £3m haul of drugs in his car on the A4260 at Bunkers Hill, near Kidlington, last April.
At Oxford Crown Court yesterday, King, of Whitchurch, in Hampshire, and Lenton, of Basingstoke, Hampshire, faced applications under the Proceeds of Crime Act. The case against Lonsdale was adjourned until July.
King, who was arrested at the Ask pizza restaurant in Abingdon and was jailed for nine years and four months last year, was found to have benefited to the tune of £10,667.33 and told to pay back £5,857.71 by June 30 or face three extra months in jail.
Lenton, who was jailed for nine years, was agreed to have benefited by £2,000 and told to pay back the full amount by the same date or face 30 extra days in prison.
