VISITORS to Carterton had a taste of the continent when traders from France, Germany and Italy came to town.
Connor Clarkson, 11, enjoyed trying German sweets at the town’s first Continental Market in Marigold Square.
His mum Michelle Clarkson, 38, from Carterton, said: “Connor thought the market was fantastic and he really enjoyed it. It would be fantastic if it was a regular thing.”
More than 25 traders from France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Holland and Poland, with many wearing traditional costumes, took part.
The market also sold Fairtrade products from Africa, south east Asia and Latin America.
