IT may have taken about a decade but police finally got their man in drug dealer Colin Allen.
For years police suspected Allen was a major problem in the west of the county but it was only with a dedicated four-month operation that they finally nabbed him.
Three counts of supply for £20 street deals of heroin and crack cocaine does not appear much but Judge Tom Corrie obviously felt Allen deserved what on the face of it is a hefty sentence of four years and nine months. Let’s hope the police are right that other dealers are reluctant to fill Allen’s boots.
