I have recently read two reports in the Oxford Mail which make me wonder if the legal system of this country is run by complete idiots.
Firstly, was Monday’s story concerning the illegal immigrant fraudulently claiming more than £77,000 over a six-year period.
How can the authorities let this woman stay illegally in this country over such a period of time without realising she should not even be here? No doubt the British taxpayer will have to repay her ill-gotten gains.
Secondly, came yesterday’s story regarding the married couple whose Oxford brothel netted more than £770,000, but who have been ordered to pay back less two per cent of their ill-gotten gains.
No wonder she is smiling in the picture of them leaving court.
