Tudor Hall is a small girls’ boarding school in a rural setting which benefits from its proximity to cultural centres such as Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Birmingham, Warwick and London. The size of the school allows all pupils to develop as individuals.
Wendy Griffiths, the Headmistress, aims to get the best out of all the girls within a supportive, caring community. Wendy says: “Girls are challenged not only in the classroom but with a wide range of extra curricular activities to enable them to achieve more individually than they ever believed possible.
The school’s motto ‘Habeo ut Dem’, ‘I have in order that I may give’ is also a very important part of the school’s culture and ethos. Pupils participate in many projects to help those less privileged in the immediate community and overseas. In the last year, girls have run art week at our link school in India, slept out for Banbury Young homeless, volunteered at the local hospital and visited house-bound adults.
We aim to broaden horizons for all our girls and to encourage ambition to achieve academic excellence alongside high quality Music, Debating and Sport. Our greatest ambassadors are our girls. They leave us ready for the next phase of their education with confidence and friends for life.”
