A 24-year-old man from East Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of rape in connection with an incident in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The victim was walking along St Clement’s Street in the early hours of the morning, when she was grabbed by a man, taken into the nearby St Clement’s Church graveyard and attacked.
She was then taken to a property somewhere in the East Oxford area and raped.
The man remains in police custody at a police station in Oxfordshire.
Police are still keen to speak to anyone with any information about the incident or who were in the area at the time.
