There were no known further outbreaks of mumps among Oxford’s student population today.
Forty-one Oxford University students and four from Oxford Brookes have contracted the virus, which can lead to meningitis and deafness in severe cases, since February 27.
However, a spokesman for the Thames Valley Health Protection Unit confirmed no more people had been diagnosed in the last 24 hours.
